• Don’t pour grease down your sinks! It hardens in the pipes, sometimes much further down the line, and creates major clogs.
  • Your disposal should primarily be used for small amounts of liquid items like soup or cereal, and the bits of food that rinse off as you are washing dishes.
  • If you don’t use your disposal regularly, occasionally turn the water on and run the disposal to make sure that any food particles that went down the sink, don’t sit in the disposal and create an odor.
